Back to the Slopes - Time Management

Thursday, December 15, 2011 - 3:29pm

Week two of Monica's journey to the slopes.

I love my two jobs and starting the Ms. Wheelchair Maine Leadership and Advocacy Organization. I am in the college system for both, so there is a lot to do before the end of the year. I have only made it to the gym twice this week due to my lack of time management, but the gym and my goals of being able to ski this winter need to be a priority - just like work.

  • I decided to make a schedule to plan my days at the gym and put them in my calendar. That way I can’t miss a day or make an excuse.
  • I will allot a specific amount of time (1 hour) to go to the gym, travel, change, do my work out and transfers.
  • I love to multitask. It is a time-saver and you can use one trip to do multiple things. So if I need to run errands, go to the bank, go to the post office, pick-up something and go to the gym I will do it while I am out. I also use drive-up services for as many things as I can, it saves time on transfers.

I hope this helps with time management and it is important to fit in you!
