Photo contest Rules

Online Exclusive posted Friday, July 1, 2011 - 11:18am

Here's all the Rules, Regulations, and Stuff You Need to Know.

Two contests in one.

Part one: Each day beginning July 15 S'NS, Wheel:Life, and Life After Spinal Cord Injury (LASCI) will post a state and the name of a spinal cord injury organization, rehab center, or accessible point of interest on our Facebook page. By posting a reply comment you will be entered to win the daily drawing for any number of awesome prizes ranging from cool hats to T-shirts, to gift certificates. You're comments MUST be in reply to the daily posting. Simply "Liking" will not be counted. You can play along on the S'NS page, Wheel:Life page, and/or LASCI page, or all pages. July 15 to July 28, 2013.

Part Two: You are invited to submit photos of your favorite wheelchair accessible hot spots, wheelchair sporting events, or recreational activity. You MUST post your photos to either the S'NS page, Wheel:Life page, or LASCI page. Postings of the same pictures on both pages will only count as one entry for that image. Each day, the photos will be added to our gallery where they will be judged for first, second, and third place. See Prizes and Other Stuff for the list of prizes. July 15 to July 28, 2013.

Contest Rules and Guidelines:

By submitting a photo(s), you grant SPORTS ‘N SPOKES (PVA Publications), Wheel:Life, and Life After Spinal Cord Injury (LASCI) staff the right to publish submitted photo(s), name, city, and any captions submitted on our respective Websites and/or marketing materials. Slight photo alterations may be made by our staff in order to fit our site or email newsletters properly. The Get Out, Enjoy Life Contest is open to all persons at least 18 years of age, except employees, relatives of employees and contractors of PVA Publications, Wheel:Life, and LASCI. The contest is open to all participants regardless of residence or citizenship, as the laws of their jurisdiction allow participation. If you are under 18 years of age and would like to submit a photograph, you must ask a parent or guardian to do so on your behalf.

How to Submit Photos to the Contest

For photos to be considered for the Get Out, Enjoy Life contest they can be submitted to the GOEL photo form. When uploading your entries, remember to tell us something about when and where the photo was taken.

While, you’re limited to a total 2MB when submitting your photo, remember all photos for magazine cover use should have a minimum resolution of 400 pixels and a maximum of 960 pixels. Photos shot in a portrait orientation are best suited for magazine covers. Keep that in mind if you’re hoping for that S’NS cover shot. Please retain your original RAW or unedited images in the event your photo is selected winning shot. Winning photos that do not meet our production and design resolutions will be placed in the Final Frame section of the magazine and the winner will receive a 2-year subscription to compensate the prize.

Entry Period July 15 - July 28, 2013 | Winners Announced: September 2013
