A Changing
of the Guard

During the first week of August, the Paralyzed Veterans of America Board of Directors convened in Minneapolis for the organization's 54th Convention and Annual Meeting. This gathering of national directors from 35 chapters, national officers, senior and support staff, regular members, spouses, extended families, and guests was a far cry from the small group of delegates from seven existing chapters who met in Hines (Ill.) VA Hospital's Vaughan Unit on February 17, 1947, for the first convention of the group then known as the Paralyzed Veterans Associations of America.

Change In Plans
