The eighth annual PVA Healthcare Summit + Expo in Dallas gave health care professionals an opportunity to learn how to deliver state-of-the-art care to people with SCI/D.

As the saying goes, “Everything’s bigger in Texas.” That expression couldn’t have been truer for the eighth annual Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) Healthcare Summit + Expo held in late August at the Omni Dallas Hotel in downtown Dallas.

For three days, more than 800 attendees, including more than 500 doctors, nurses and other health care professionals, heard seminars on more than 60 topics focused on providing the best care possible for veterans and others with spinal-cord injury and disease (SCI/D) and traumatic brain injury. 

And to top it all off, newly confirmed Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Robert Wilkie gave a keynote address.
