The delivery giant announced in October it’s providing PVA with $1 million in cash and in-kind support over the next three years, beginning in 2016.

The funds will be used to support PVA’s innovative public-private veterans employment assistance program, Paving Access for Veterans Employment (PAVE); the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, co-presented each year with the Department of Veterans Affairs; and PVA’s annual ‘Mission: ABLE’ Awards dinner.

“UPS has been an invaluable partner to Paralyzed Veterans’ for more than 25 years and we are truly grateful for their continued support,” says PVA National President Al Kovach Jr. “With this additional funding, we will be able to help more veterans find fulfilling jobs, and continue providing first-class adaptive and rehabilitative sporting opportunities for our veterans each year at the National Veterans Wheelchair Games.”

Last year, PVA expanded its outreach to veterans and caregivers by participating with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes initiative in employment conferences in Camp Pendleton, Los Angeles, Boston and San Antonio.

“Our nearly three-decade-long partnership with PVA has given our employees the opportunity to volunteer with the PVA’s National Veterans Wheelchair Games and to forge personal relationships with servicemen and women,” says UPS Foundation President and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Eduardo Martinez.
