Brian Sheridan raced to two gold medals, while Air Force veteran Ryan Pinney and Army veteran Alfredo De Los Santos each earned one in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Sheridan (Clarkston, Mich.) took the men’s H2 division time trial in 30 minutes, 23.63 seconds and also won the road race in 1:17.53.

Pinney (Phoenix) won gold in the men’s H4 Criterium, finishing in 30:59.

“Ryan is relatively new to handcycling and has made significant progress in the last 12 months,” says Jody Shiflett, adaptive sports programming consultant for Paralyzed Veterans of America. “His personal commitment and dedication make his win well-deserved, and we hope to see more strong finishes from him in the future.”

De Los Santos (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) won gold in the men’s H5 division, finishing in 25:22.63. He also placed second in the H5 Criterium in 30:51.

Additionally, Navy veteran Carlos Moleda (Bluffton, S.C.) recorded two silver medals, finishing second in the men’s H4 time trial and road race and Army veteran Jacob Freeland (Greenville, S.C.) earned a bronze medal in the men’s H3 division road race.
