Booz Allen Hamilton, Penske Truck Rental, ManTech International, The Jeffrey Carlton Charitable Foundation and retired Marine Corps Capt. Derek Herrera will each be honored by the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) during October’s 2015 Mission: ABLE Awards.
They will be honored with the following awards:
The Sustain ABLE Award:
Booz Allen Hamilton, for long-term dedication to supporting veterans through financial assistance, pro bono projects and volunteer hours
The Achieve ABLE Award:
Penske Truck Rental, for financial support of PVA’s mission to ensure that disabled veterans have access to health care, benefits and jobs
The Employ ABLE Award:
ManTech International, for leadership to end unemployment in the disabled veterans community
The Unstop ABLE Award:
Herrera, for inspiration demonstrating how adaptive sports and new technologies can improve quality of life for veterans with disabilities
The Humanitarian Award:
The Jeffrey M. Carlton Trust, recognizing an outstanding contribution to help our disabled heroes live the lives their valor merits
The annual awards ceremony raises funds to benefit PVA programs and services, all of which are provided free to veterans.
This year’s awards ceremony takes place Oct. 6, at The Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C.
