Saddle Up

Reprinted from PN/Paraplegia News May 2014

Unable to find the right type of rugged saddlebag he wanted for his wheelchair, Paralyzed Veterans of America member Paul Polishuk took matters into his own hands and designed one.

Polishuk modified a bag he found at a local flea market to meet his needs. He later located a leather bag manufacturer in Mexico to make a prototype.

He is now able to offer the bag he designed or ones customized to customers’ needs. The bag is 14 inches by 11 inches by 6 inches, which is big enough to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers and books.

It is ruggedized with heavy duty thread and zippers. There are five compartments, three with zippers and two bottle carriers, one on each end.

For more information or to purchase a bag, contact Paul at 617-835-5864 or polishuk@igigroup.com.
