Winter Wonderland

With winter fast approaching, the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD), in Winter Park, Colo., is ready for visitors. On November 21, the facility opens with alpine skiing and snowboarding lessons. This year, NSCD has added instruction for the family members of participants with disabilities. Instructors will also teach family members the proper techniques to assist with special needs on the mountain. Family lessons are available in half- or full-day sessions, seven days a week, November-April 2002. Contact: www.nscd.org.
