Find a Job
Jobs website has new look and improvements.
A website designed to help people with disabilities find work created by people with disabilities has a new look and improvements.
Abilityjobsplus.com allows job seekers to post resumes; search for jobs by location, type, or company; and get email updates of new jobs listings. Employers can also post job listings and search resumes for qualified job seekers in their area.
The website says its employment listings are exclusively available to members, with no fear of their being released to the general population before having a chance to apply.
Abilityjobsplus.com says it’s the only job site for people with disabilities; it is run and managed by founder Richard Hill of Kingman, Ariz., who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at age 18.
After ending his career as a machinist and being refused assistance by an employment placement agency due to his use of a walker, Hill became a webmaster, launching abilityjobsplus.com in 2012.
He has continued to modify the site’s design and function, leading up to the newest release.
