If your future travel plans include a trip north of the border, the Canadian government offers a guide for wheelchair users.

Take Charge of Your Travel: A Guide for Persons with Disabilities provides information about travel by air, rail, provincial ferries and buses that cross provincial borders.

Besides basic information about accessible travel in Canada, the guide includes useful information sources and an index to help with quick searches. Take Charge of Your Travel has also created a reservation checklist that can be removed from the center of the booklet.

The guide is available in multiple formats, in-cluding a talking book that provides additional help for people who have a visual impairment.
