Checking how well or bad your state’s employers are doing with discrimination charges is as easy as jumping onto the Internet.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has made private sector workplace discrimination charge statistics available online for all 50 states
and U.S. Territories in a user-friendly format. The EEOC enforces federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination.

This data provides a look at EEOC charge receipts, broken down on the basis of discrimination such as sex, age, religion, race, color, and disability, as well as the percent of total state and national charges.

The data covers the fiscal years 2009–2011. The EEOC will update the state data when new charge statistics are available each fiscal year.

To view the data, visit eeoc.gov/eeoc/statistics/enforcement/charges_by_state.cfm.
