Search tool helps connect with helpful services and programs.
A new collaboration is helping veterans quickly and easily search the Internet for help and services of interest to them.
Wounded Warrior Project™ (WWP) is the first organization to implement the National Resource Directory’s (NRD) new search widget, on the WWP website.
The NRD search widget serves as a single point of access to more than 14,000 government and non-government services and programs that support America’s servicemembers and veterans. This new tool allows visitors to quickly and easily access resources by simply entering a keyword to get information on benefits, education, health, family and caregiver support, housing, and more.
The widget represents an important step in ensuring members of the nation’s wounded warrior community have access to the resources they need where they live and work by facilitating the spread of information without creating duplicate websites. It can be implemented on any organization’s or individual’s website and is maintenance free because it automatically updates when new information is added to the NRD.
The NRD is a collaborative effort among the U.S. Departments of Defense, Labor, and Veterans Affairs.
