Mark Roesser has come a long way from his upbringing in Abington Township, outside Philadelphia. He has come an even longer way— literally and figuratively—from an automobile accident that left him paralyzed from the chest down.

In the December 2002 PN/Paraplegia News, read Herb Drill’s article describing Roesser’s journey of independence and his experiences as healthcare analyst, student, husband, father, and successful financial advisor for a Jacksonville, Fla., investment banker.

December’s On the Job also includes information about a paid internship program for students with disabilities, the Social Security Administration’s new initiatives to help people with disabilities who want to go to work, a job-seeker’s Web site, and a federal program that enables American’s with severe disabilities to engage in meaningful employment and provide valuable services and products to the government.
