The Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) hosted its first bass-fishing tournament in 1987. The PVA National Bass Trail, a BASS Sanctioned Event, is designed to introduce PVA members and others with physical disabilities around the country to sport fishing through a competitive forum. The 2002 Trail consisted of five tournaments, held in Georgia, Maryland, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

In the December 2002 PN/Paraplegia News, read accounts of the final two stops on this year's Trail: the Mid-America PVA Bass Tournament (Lake Eufaula, Okla.) and the Lone Star/Bayou Roundup (Toledo Bend Reservoir, Many, La.).

The 2002 Grand National Championship will take place February 21-23, 2003, at Lake Havasu, Ariz. For event information, contact Geoff Hopkins, geoffh@pva.org.
