Thanks to two alert PN readers, a couple of rather unique violators were caught on film. Mrs. Lou Mortelli, Sommerville, Mass., figured a Holiday Inn van driver found a convenient space on a snowy day. Roger Robinson, Oregon PVA national director, found the Salem police in the wrong.

"The paint wasn't even dry on the first accessible parking-space logo when drivers of all stripes were abusing the privilege," notes PN Editor Cliff Crase. "Nationwide from day one, people with disabilities in search of the coveted spaces have struggled with those who continue to violate the law."
