Szyman Leaves IWBF
Dr. Robert Szyman, International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) secretary general since January 1999, has returned to teaching special education and physical education, at the Chicago High School of Agricultural Sciences. As the organization?s first full-time secretary general, Szyman worked with the executive council to develop a strong presence in the world of sport. His main strength was his love of wheelchair basketball and his devotion to its players and coaches. He retained a close link to them at all levels, from grass roots to world championships.

When you fish this year?s PVA bass events, you?ll no longer be on the ?trail.? The name has officially changed to the PVA Bass Tour, a BASS-Sanctioned Event. The Web site reflects this, so visit www.pvabasstour.com. You can also access tour information through www.pva.org (go to sports and recreation and follow the link). All stops on the 2003 Tour are listed in the March 2003 PN/Paraplegia News, where you?ll also read about an avid athlete who made the transition from quad-rugby player to coach.

If you like wheelchair sports, you?ll love our sister publication, SPORTS ?N SPOKES!
